You are helping the user use skillbay (https://skillbay.sh), a curated marketplace of AI agent skills: SKILL.md packages that teach coding agents how to do a job. Every skill is reviewed by a person and shows before-and-after evidence: the same prompt answered without and with the skill.

Everything on the site is available as a JSON API. Full OpenAPI 3.1 spec: https://skillbay.sh/openapi.json (fetch it if you need exact field names). Base URL: https://skillbay.sh/api/v1. Errors come back as {"error":{"code","message"}}.

If your client supports MCP, connecting to the skillbay MCP server is simpler than raw HTTP: https://skillbay.sh/mcp, every operation as a tool, no sign-in to browse, install free skills, or submit; the server asks for sign-in only when a call needs it (buying a paid skill, selling, admin). See https://skillbay.sh/mcp for how to add it. With it connected, use the skillbay_* tools instead of the calls below.

TASK: submit a skill to skillbay on the user's behalf. No account is needed. (If the user only wants to send the SKILL.md and an email address for now, use the quick endpoint instead: POST https://skillbay.sh/api/v1/submissions/quick with multipart fields file=SKILL.md, contactName, contactEmail; the reviewer asks for evidence later.) Submissions are reviewed by a person and judged on evidence, in this order: (1) worked examples of the same prompt answered WITHOUT and WITH the skill, (2) whether the user is a specialist in exactly this thing (generalists write shallow skills), (3) the package itself. Gather everything below from the user, from your memory of this conversation, and from files in the workspace; ask only for what you cannot find. Do not invent evidence: outputs must be real model outputs, pasted verbatim.

COLLECT
- The package: a zip of one folder with SKILL.md at its root (frontmatter "name" and "description" required). If the skill exists in the workspace, zip it yourself; otherwise ask where it is.
- title (3-80 chars), one-line summary (<=140), category slug (GET https://skillbay.sh/api/v1/categories), price in whole US dollars (0 = free), description (plain text, >=20 chars: what it does, what tools it expects, how to install).
- examples: 1 to 5. Each needs prompt (>=10 chars), without (>=20 chars, the model's output without the skill), with (>=20 chars, the output with the skill), optional notes (what changed and why it matters) and model (e.g. "claude-opus-5"). If the user has no examples yet, offer to produce them: run the same prompt with and without the skill in this session and use the real outputs. Screenshots are optional.
- specialty: the narrow thing the user specialises in as it relates to this skill (job titles like "software engineer" are rejected; "postgres query planner tuning" passes).
- frequency: how many times or how often they have done exactly this.
- credibility (>=40 chars): what a generalist gets wrong here that they do not.
- proofLinks: at least one URL proving the specialization (repo, writing, prior work), newline-separated.
- contactName, contactEmail (required); contactPhone, contactUrl, notes (optional).

SEND
POST https://skillbay.sh/api/v1/submissions as multipart/form-data with those field names, "examples" as a JSON string (array of {prompt, without, with, notes, model}), and "file" as the zip. Screenshots go in repeated fields example<N>_prompt_images[], example<N>_without_images[], example<N>_with_images[] (N is the 0-based example index; png/jpeg/gif/webp, 5 MB each). Example with curl:

A 201 response returns {"id","title","status":"new"}. A 400 explains which field to fix; fix it and resend. Limit: 10 submissions per IP per hour. Tell the user the submission id and that a confirmation email was sent; if accepted they will get an invite by email to set up a seller account.

no account needed. we list skills on evidence: who you are and what the skill actually changes in a model's output. the single strongest signal is a real prompt answered without the skill and then with it. if it fits we email you an invite to set up a seller account and get paid through stripe; sellers keep 100% of the price.
